Energy for All Partnership
The Energy for All Partnership (E4ALL), which FDC has been designing and planning since 2007, was officially launched in Manila on 17 June 2009 during the ADB’S Clean Energy and Climate Week 2009. This partnership aims to reduce energy poverty in the Asia Pacific region. Pacific Microfinance Week 2009
After a successful Pacific Microfinance Week in August 2007, the Microfinance Pasifika Network is pleased to convene the second Pacific Microfinance Week 2009 (PMW 2009) in Fiji from July 13 - 17, 2009.
PMW 2009 will be a week-long series of events, meetings and gatherings of a range of organisations and individuals which have an interest in promoting the provision of inclusive and sustainable financial services in the Pacific. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Partnership
The Foundation Development Cooperation is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant of €100,000 to implement the “Developing Innovative Microfinance Systems to Support Renewable Energy in the Pacific” initiative. The initiative is funded by the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficient Partnership (REEEP), and international multistakeholder partnership which aims to accelerate the market for renewable energy and energy efficiency.The aim of the initiative is to assist in the development of innovative and sustainable microfinance for renewable energy efficient loan products. The initiative will be by implemented by conducting a baseline survey in the three Pacific Island countries of Fiji, Samoa and Vanuatu. The initiative is expected to commence in June 2009 and will run for twelve months. More...
